I'm having a relaxing morning. Luke is at Mom's Day Out, I just finished prepping our tornado shelter (Severe weather day, YiKeS!!) and now I'm enjoying some french toast with peanut butter and syrup. It's like a vacation day!
This past weekend, we celebrated Easter. It wasn't the most traditional Easter, which made me a little sad, but I suppose it's time for us to start our own traditions. Isaac worked Saturday and part of Sunday, but that didn't stop Luke and me from enjoying Easter activities!
Saturday we attended the Andover Easter Egg Hunt. Luke wasn't sure about hunting eggs, but he enjoyed the candy inside! He also got his picture taken with the Easter Bunny, and enjoyed the balloon artist, cotton candy and popcorn.
Sunday morning, I woke up feeling a bit of mommy guilt that the Easter Bunny didn't come...... at this age, it's mostly for the parents, right?! Next year Luke, next year.
After breakfast, I hid a few pieces of candy and eggs around the house and we went on a mini hunt.
We did get to see most of the family before Easter, which was nice. We visited Devin and Claire in KC last weekend, and then Papa & Ginny came to visit for a weekend, and then Mimi came and stayed for a couple days. Grandma Susie came to deliver Easter baskets on Saturday afternoon too. I love having company!
How Big is Baby C: 12" long, and weighs over a pound. About the size of an ear of corn.
Weight Gain: 15 lbs
Food Cravings/Aversions: Enjoying a glass of lemonade since the weather is getting warmer. HATE canned green beans.
Pregnancy Symptoms: Heartburn, and getting a bit uncomfortable at night.
Looking Forward To: Planning the nursery, and thinking of possible names.
Dr. Notes: Baby looked healthy at the 20wk. sonogram. Baby was measuring a bit bigger than 20 weeks (24wks in some areas!). I have a feeling he/she will make an early appearance.
Interests: Books especially lift-the-flap types, Zoo and animals in general, playing outdoors, going to the store, playing with kids.
Favorite Foods: Pasta, Ham, Eggs, Broccoli, Mango, Mandarin Oranges, Milk.
Our Favorite Things about 18 Mo: The way he says "HI!!" to anyone and everyone. His pucker up face (soooo into giving kisses!) His jib-jabbering. He know so many words and is starting to express himself.
Our Not-so-Favorite things about 18 Mo: The constant chasing, he's ALWAYS on the move which is hard for this preggo. Doesn't want to sit still, which makes things like story time difficult. He also gets really intense at times and makes a fist, grinds his teeth, bites, scratches, which I am not a fan of! It also makes me a sad that he's not as snuggly as he once was, he doesn't fall asleep in my arms much :(
