City Folk Love Country Too

Last weekend we traveled to Russell to visit my parents and celebrate my Grandma's birthday.

We had lots of fun on the farm feeding the chickens, ducks & guineas...

 ..and the cows.

Then we took off on our motorcycles to wreak havoc.
Naturally, Isaac rode the 50, because he doesn't have quite the skill level I do to handle the 100. Sorry, honey!

We also had a trampoline olympic contest..Noah took home gold, and Isaac won silver. Much to my surprise, I am still able to do a flip, but lost my back-flipping ability. Needless to say, this hindered my ability to leave with a medal.

That evening, we all feasted on sushi to celebrate Grandma Bonnie & Uncle Stan's birthdays.

We all ate a TON, and were quite impressed with the new sushi establishment in Western KS...who woulda thunk it, sushi in Cow Town, America??

We all ordered separate meals, but ended up sharing all of the plates. Isaac ordered a crunchy salmon roll, and I had chicken yakitori amongst other things - spring rolls, miso soup, fried rice, & dumplings.
Mr. Benson also had an enjoyable weekend frolicking at the farm, chasing turkeys, and rolling in a dead toad. The latter explains the bath pictures.

We ended our fabulous weekend with a little time at the lake. It was an absolutely perfect day for water sports, the water was like glass.

Noah - a.k.a. stud of the family
I love this picture of Isaac!
